All those small pretty allotment cottage is to be find here in Landskrona. The allotments here goes back to 1904 and located by our castle Citadellet that is located in the town center. In total Landskrona has 1400 allotments that are spread over 4 different areas.

The cottages … you’re not allowed to live in permanent … only for a couple of days during the summer, there is no water and electricity during the autumn and winter. It’s only meant to be an escape from the town living. For 2-3 nights per week, I wouldn’t mind. *smile .. but I need to go back to something more spacious … but they aren’t that small really. Some as two bedrooms. The is regulations on how big they are allowed to be.

You know the first time I visited Sweden some 25 years ago, we drove by a koloni and I asked Eva if that was where the poor people lived. She almost ran off the road laughing, I then learn the fine tradition of a European allotment.
*laughing … today a cost 40kvm cottage cost about 750.000 – 1 million SEK for one of the areas my images are from. They are so stunningly pretty, but loads of money, but they sit on quite a bit of land, the allotments are big around the castle. I love birdhouses and abroad they have must more fun ones. I’m from the states. I was born and raised in Texas but managed to escape from there to the Pacific Northwest of the US as an adult. Live last in Kentucky prior to moving here.
Ron, so my guess was right. I have been a couple of times in the States plus I lived a year in Seattle – FAB place. But it rains a lot and chilly mornings in the summer, but I didn’t mind. Texas I never been to … I don’t think I will visit neither. My favorite city is Chicago .. most for better .. but there is worst too. I love the people in Chicago and all the culture that is for free. Great restaurants too .. *smile I hope you like it here in Sweden … I’m a big fan of my country. My heart is very blue & yellow. By the way I’m visiting the Ifö Centre with a friend on Monday, going to be intresting … and hopefully a post about our day. I wish you a pleasant weekend.

Lovely photos and allotment story which I’ll be interested in reading about later. Am virtually most of the time at the moment inside American politics with an absolutely fascinating Second Debate just ended. Methinks we are seeing a second Angela Merkel there . . . . some people have a natural savvy . . . Beautiful small house photos . . . I could happily live in one if it did have electricity . . .
Eha, during spring and summer – you will have both water and electricity. They turn off the water in the winter so no pipes will freeze and burst. I watched some of it too … the debate, it was a lot more civilised than the one between Trump and Biden. I hope of all my heart that Mr Predisent will lose big time. His behaviour is getting more and more mental. The most powerful man in the world …. so scary. Whatever they said about Hillary – she would have done a lot better job than … this maniac. I don’t think the world can take another 4 years with him. The only person he thinks about is Donald Trump. I like Kamala!!! Sharp cookie.
