snow “joke” from down-under

8:00 am: I made a snowman.
8:10 – A feminist passed by and asked me why I didn’t make a snow woman.
8:15 – So, I made a snow woman.
8:17 – My feminist neighbour complained about the snow woman’s voluptuous chest saying it objectified snow women everywhere.
8:20 – The gay couple living nearby threw a hissy fit and moaned it could have been two snowmen instead.
8:22 – The transgender man … women … person asked why I didn’t just make one snow person with detachable parts?
8:25 – The vegans at the end of the lane complained about the carrot nose, as veggies are food and not to decorate snow figures with.
8:28 – I was being called a racist because the snow couple is white.
8:31 – The middle eastern gent across the road demanded the snow woman be covered up.
8:40 – The Police arrived saying someone had been offended.
8:42 – The feminist neighbour complained again that the broomstick of the snow woman needed to be removed because it depicted women in a domestic role.
8:43 – The city council equality officer arrived and threatened me with eviction.
8:45 – The TV news crew showed up. I was asked if I know the difference between snowmen and snow women? I replied “Snowballs” and am now called a sexist.
9:00 – I was on the News as a suspected terrorist, racist, homophobe sensibility offender, bent on stirring up trouble during difficult weather.
9:10 – I was asked if I have any accomplices. My children were taken by social services.
9:29 – Far left protesters offended by everything marched down the street demanding that I be arrested.
By noon it had all melted.

Thank you so much, Eha … for the reminder about how the simplest thing can become the most complicated thing. Is this what we have become????!!!!!

    • Dia, totally agree … a crazy world, where we the whole time as so be so aware of what we say and do. I’m still struggling with a very “sorry ass” – sitting down is nearly impossible. Need some adventure to get my mind on to something else. *laughing … I wish you a great week, Girlfriend. HUUUuuUUuUUugs!

  1. I’ve read the same joke in other contexts and though I find it funny, it unfortunately grows more and more true each day as people of all beliefs seem to grow less tolerant and much more easily offended. I like that quote about the snowmen falling unassembled. 🙂

    • Janet, so true …. I don’t understand why everything has to be so social correct those days????? Where has all the fun gone???? We are not allowed to say Happy Christmas anymore ????

      • I say “Merry Christmas” to everyone and if they don’t like it, that’s their problem. Not only are people easily offended, they sue people who offend them, try to ruin them on social media, etc. Quite horrible!

      • Janet, you’re so right …. why should we change everything to be social correct – let us keep our traditions where ever our roots has been. As you say it’s horrible, that we can’t accept each other for what we in our foundations. *smile

  2. Well Vivi – In spite of having reached a certain age I pride myself in being a very modern woman . . . BUT I am a woman, first and foremost and happy to be so! So I use and always shall words like ‘actress’, ‘waitress’ and ‘policewoman’ ! I am not a generic ‘person’ . . . vive the wondrous difference twixt the sexes . . . yes, men and women should have equal opportunities but not be regarded as somehow ‘neutral’ ! *smile* Where is the fun in life without flirting !!! As far as sexuality and race are concerned — yes we still have long way to go but ‘forcing’ and ‘demanding’ and many ridiculous laws being passed will only bring forth more warfare twixt the sides ! Teach and speak openly and wait for time and logic to change situations for the better !! So glad this ‘talked’ to you as it did to me . . . with a laugh along the way . . .

    • Eha, to be social correct is a tough job and I think I will never be able to be that. It was a brilliant joke! Thank you so much for sharing. *smile and for the BIG smile it brought.
