lens-artists photo challenge #98 – delicate colors

Ann-Christine, my partner in crime … at times, want us to be delicate this week???!!! Not really in my personality.

For me, it’s all in … and when comes to colours mostly am I brash.  For me, our world can’t get enough colours, but both Oscar and I have our delicate moments.

You can never have too many.”

Window shopping in Vienna … delicate colours and delicate design that we met at Ernestine Navratil Goldschmiede store window (went straight on my wishlist) – August 2014

stay neat like a white swan!”

The highlight of every year for me … the yearly cygnets, but the last 2 years … our swan couple has lost their small ones, Nobody seems to know what has happened. Last year 3 cygnets just disappeared. Terrible. and so sad. Can it be the seagulls or humans????!! This year I can’t see that she is  brooding (Wragnelska Park, Landskrona) – June 2014

is a joy forever ….”

Magnolia, one of the most beautiful flowers I know, this beauty I captured when Ann-Christine and her beautiful Totti came for our first date here my beautiful Landskrona-  May 2013

Details of a girls dress, capture at Copenhagen Airport on my may to Stockholm – February 2014

A cup and a saucer from (in my book the) the world’s most beautiful porcelain, Royal Copenhagen. I think the collection is called “Flora” and each piece is about €80/£71/$87/845SEK. Not my private set … I enjoyed a lovely lunch on it at Royal Sumish Cafe in the company of Ann-Christine, in Copenhagen of course – July 2013

Early morning at the Navy Pier in Chicago … and I manage to capture Chicago Harbour Lighthouse in the sunrise – one of those memorable moments when it felt like I was the only person in the world (delicate light, colors, moment and memory)- July 2012

  1. Marvelous post as usual Vivi – I’m insanely jealous of your time with Ann-Christine :-). One of these days I hope we can all enjoy a visit together! As for your images, I’m with you that delicate is not my thing but you have managed to include some stunning examples. The swan is my favorite. Cygents are typical victims of many birds of prey as well as snakes. Their survival rate is sadly very low.

    • Yes, best view from Navy Pier. Thank you so much .., it was a truly lovely morning. They had a heat wave that we I visit over +90F every day and not one ounce of wind for 5 days … so I had go out in the sunrise to be able to enjoy the city.

  2. 🙂 Those earrings caught my attention! And I thought I’d seen them here in Vienna – just before I read your comment… 😉 Great pictures!
Many hugs and hope you are well!?

    • Dia, I wish you a pleasant week!!! Yes, we saw them together. The earrings are so beautiful. Wonder if they have sold them buy now????? I’m doing fine, but it doesn’t feel good that I have to stay away from Vienna and my days with you. But there will be new dates for us. MondayHug.

  3. Lovely response to the delicate challenge. I hope your swans will have some cygnets survive this year. I have been watching a pair on a small lake near us. Last year four survived to grow up and fly away. But the year before there were none. We think they are taken by foxes , or coyotes and also snapping turtles that snap the little ones when they are in the water and take them down. Nature can be very hard.

    • Thank you, Anne, for the visit and great comment. Yes, nature is tough … but humans can make it tougher. Our swans in the park are both out swimming together, so I doubt there will be any eggs this year. They are getting up in age too. The first spring I lived here they had 8 and all survived. Have to visit them in a week or two and see if there are any wee ones.

  4. Viveka – where is my comment??? My PC is a hopeless case these days. I click and it disappears, I write, and it does not show up? LOVE your entry, Love your getting delicate, Viveka! Now I want this comment not to go away, please.
