lens-arists challenge # 73 – cold

This weeks topic is COLD  given by Tina.

First I started to look for wintery images …. but it didn’t really click!!!

So why not try something else … something I enjoy in company and when I travel, cold drinks. I’m not a solo drinker … not even a glass of wine in my own company at home.

So cold drinks it’s, with and without alcohol.

“Alcohol may be man’s worst enemy,
but the bible says love your enemy.”
Frank Sinatra

My favorite cocktail, Mojito … served on the last day of service at the Grand Hotel beach bar in Sopot, Poland – September 2018

“Sex and a cocktail: they both lasted about as long,
had the same effect, and amounted to about the same thing.”
D. H. Lawrence

Tropical Fizz …. a fantastic cocktail that I met in Szczecin (Poland) this summer together with Ann Christine@LEYA. – August 2019

“They say as soon as you have to cut down on your drinking,
you have a drinking problem.”
Don Draper

The cocktail I drink most of is “Porto Splash” and force on to my friends, Just Portwine with tonic with plenty of ice. So easy … and so refreshing. Thank you, Porto, for bringing this into my life – May 2018

“Bring me Sangria and tell me I’m pretty”

Also a drink from Porto, but I don’t have a clue what it’s … one of the ladies at the table next to me at the Majestic Café was drinking it. It could be some kind of Sangria – June 2017

“If life throws you a lemon – make lemonade.”
Joan Collins

Mint lemonade!!! We don’t really drink or make lemonade in Sweden. Hard to find on the bottles too … so when I’m traveling I enjoy so soon I can find on the menu. This one of the best served to me at Gabriadze in Tbilisi, Georgia – December 2018

  1. Here in the US we say “making lemonade out of lemons” when you turn a problem into something great. Do you have that saying if you don’t really have lemonade Viveka? It would apply to your post, which took a lack of cold photos and turned it into something wonderful! Terrific response for the week!

    • Tina, thank you so much for your support. I created a gallery with cold wintery gallery, but it didn’t work for fun to work with … so then I went for the cold drinks instead. Because I don’t have any image based on cold feet. *laughing
No, we don’t really drink or do lemonade. What is popular to do make is Elderflower Cordial. Great topic, Tina1

    • Sandy, thank you so much for the visit and the nice comment. No, I haven’t tried Aperol Spritz, but I created a cocktail myself a couple of years ago when I stayed in Sopot and they didn’t have Campari. Used Aperol, sparkling wine and 7up! It was very good … and we named it Sopot. Portwine and tonic are far from sweet. I also love Vodka (Absolute if possible) and tonic as a pre-diner drink. Not a fan of Gin anymore … but the tropical fizz was based on gin, an excellent cocktail.

    • Thank you, John … !!! It was fun to work with too. I like to play around with my camera with drinks of different kinds, like the colors, ice, and bubbles.
