tuesday photo challenge – city

Frank, has done it again … topic/subject that suits me perfectly. I love visiting cities.

I don’t want to live in a big city anymore … but I love visiting, because of the variations, the pulse, and the options they all offers.

“Cities, like cats, will reveal themselves at night.”
Rupert Brooke

Chicago … my kind of town on all levels!!! (September)

“What is a city, but the people; true the people are the city.”
Coriolanus III

Seattle, my playground in the late 80’s – a brilliant city … and I love its location. (August 2013)

“All cities are mad: but the madness is gallant.
All cities are beautiful, but the beauty is grim.”
Christopher Morley

Hong Kong, my Asian pearl. I revisited in March this year and crying over you now. (March 2019)

“There is no solitude in the world like that of the big city.”
Norris, Kathleen

Stockholm!!!! One of the most beautiful cities in the world. Build on 14 islands. (Febuary 2014)

“A city is a large community where people
are lonesome together.”
Herbert Prochnow

Brighton, UK … my home town for nearly 9 years. Unfotrutnently I worked so much and was never home. Traveling all the time. But it has a big corner in my heart. (Febaury 2015)

“No city should be too large for a man
to walk out of in a morning.”
Cyril Connolly

Łódź, a Polish city that took me with a surprise in 2017, when I visit it for their Light Move Festival together with Ann-Christine@Leya. We both fell in love with it. We enjoyed the festival together with 650,000  other visitors under 5 days (Festival 3 days). A city and event I really recommend. (September 2017)

“New York City is a great monument to the power of money and greed… a race for rent.
Frank Lloyd Wright

New York,  a city I have visited quite a few times both for through work and for leisure… I don’t love it, but I always have a good time there. (Septembr 2013)

“For those who are lost, there will always be cities that feel
like home.”
Simon Van Booy

Vancouver, my number ONE until I met Chicago, still a city I have deep feelings for and I’m playing with the thought of going back while I can. (July 2012)

  1. I like the excitement of a city, for a short while, Vivi, but I’m happy to escape to something gentler. Your photos are wonderful so I hardly need to see Chicago for myself anymore- I might be disappointed 🙂 But I’d love to see Stockholm one day.
How are you feeling? Fit enough for Porto? Hugs, darlin!

    • Hi there, Girlfriend … I hope I’m fit for Porto *smile – It’s so hot everywhere just now. That is my biggest problem. I’m going under an examination under anesthetized on Monday – but all the papers about tests that have to be done haven’t arrived yet. Been on the phone chacing the whole morning and the person that holds in all that is not working today. What a carry-on. Otherwise, I’m feeling good. Stockholm is only a short flight away, of course, you should come. Hug back.
