a taste of tbilisi … where the great adventure found me.

… so I’m back for one of my most fantastic travel adventures – 6 days full of magic and kindness. Tbilisi was just how I imagine it and more and the people are so lovely. Tbilisi’s Christmas slogan was “The City Full of Love” and how true isn’t that. Meet so many wonderful local people and visitors from all over the world. Some have been coming back for … more Tbilisi.

They celebrate Christmas on 7th of January, but for a city that doesn’t really celebrate Christmas as such … their decorations were magnificent and it was full go. Nothing spared.

I will start providing you with my travel diary … in a few days time. Only want to give you a little taste.

Why I’m using “Liber Tango” as a cloud for this post … is because of the two musicians I met in Rike Park. It’s my favorite tango and they played it fantastically. I asked if they could play it again for me … and they did.

I would mind getting more of that “Love” in a near future *smile

”Then one day, when you least expect it,
the great adventure finds you.”

    • Helen, it all down to CNN … when I was in Krakow last Christmas they show a small trailer of Tbilisi and I just knew I have to go … so I booked in January, so soon the flights was open for purchase. Food was fantastic and Georgian wines outstanding.

    • Yes, it truly is … and the people makes it so special. I even flirted with 3 nice police officers … they said they may have to arrest me … and I said I wouldn’t mind.
The old city is really falling a part. You see a house and you would think only rats could live there and out comes a elegant family and get into a BMW SUV.

  1. 🙂 Dear Wivi,
I found the picture of the chair without legs on the stairs very good. Great idea!
It looks like you had a good time and I’m looking forward to reading more.
Hope you are doing well after the great shock from a few days ago?
Many hugs and lots of love xoxo 🙂

    • Thank you, Dia … doing much better today, but still not really myself, but tomorrow is it New Year’s Eve and I will have friends around for the evening and they are staying overnight and we will watch the Viena concert together. So that will give me something else to think about. That chair on the step … brilliant idea. I love it.
From me to you, Girlfriend … I wish you a lovely end and a pleasant beginning. A big 2018HUG!!!!

    • Martina, so glad that you like my images … Tbilisi is the most photogenic city I ever been to and the people are so fantastic. You have to visit before the old part of the city is gone. If you need any help or advice … you know where to find me. I’m going back in March 2020. Thank you so much for your visit and for your nice comment. I have more post about my visit.
