share your world – 7th may 2018

It’s a good while since I participated in this challenge! A brilliant challenge, but I have a tendency to forget about it. But here I’m!!!!

  • If you were given $22 million tax-free dollars (any currency), what is the first thing you would do?

That is an awful amount of money … to be honest, I don’t think I would survive the news about the money.

First of all, I would invite Claudia@HappyFace313 and book that Transatlantic cruise with Cunard Line from Hamburg to New York with the best of best cabins and fly first class home – spread out on a very luxurious hotel in New York for 5 nights.

Then I will give millions to my charities (UNHCR and Facing the world) and also a good amount will go to the homeless.

I will give my girlfriends a couple of million each.

After that, I will travel in style until I had enough *smile

  • In what do you find the simplest of joys???

The simplest of joys is when my feet will hold up for a good walk in the sunshine (suffer from Polyneuropathy)  …. that my sorry ass can handle a couple of hours while I work away on my blog.

And of course when Oscar and I are on the same level and our teamwork rocks.

  • What would be your ideal birthday present, and why?

I have just given myself a 70th birthday gift – 4 nights in Berlin and open-air concert with Jonas Kaufmann in July.

I don’t really give away birthday presents any more… I give away goodies bags during the year to my girlfriends instead. If I give a birthday present will it be a flight somewhere. That is a gift I love to receive myself.

  • What did you appreciate or what made you smile this past week?

The fantastic weather we have just now – full blowing summer for over a week and my date with dear friend Ann Christine@Leya and our fantastic day we had this week in Malmö.

  1. It sounds like a lovely 70th birthday gift to yourself, Berlin and a nice show. Hope it will be a time to remember 🙂 I also don’t do much on my birthday anymore. Much rather have a quiet day and treat myself quietly. Lovely to hear you were hanging out with Ann-Christine again, two peas in a pod having a good time together 🙂

    • I love hanging out with Ann Christine … she is such great sport and an easy company. We are doing the Int. Kite Flier Festival on FANØ, Denmark in June and her husband is allowed to come along .. someone has to drive. *smile
I can’t see any meaning in celebrating that I’m getting older … and more fragile. I had a fantastic party when I became 40th. 40’s was a brilliant time for me. Bring it back, please. *smile

      • That is great you and Ann-Christine have upcoming dates together. Lovely that her husband is coming along. Sounds like he is the official driver, chauffeur and maybe butler to you two ladies 🌷💐😀

Maybe you can celebrate getting wiser every single day. When you are up for it, you can have a party any day 😊

      • Mabel, I love the thought of having a butler, I don’t think Lars is up for that job. Saying that he does great drinks! I read somewhere that we should have so many party the year following as the years we become. I don’t think I will survive a year with 70 birthdays! *laughing

      • You could celebrate your birthday 70 times, why not. 70 times to have cake and I’m sure Ann-Christine will be up for it as well 🙂

  2. Money can’t buy happiness. You have to have a happy soul. And you’ve definitely got one of those, Vivi. 🙂 🙂 The battles you’ve had with that ass of yours, and now the feet! I don’t look forward to turning 70 this year either, but every day is a day to celebrate, isn’t it?
You will, no doubt, be staying in style in Berlin for your birthday, but if you have any less expensive recommends I’d be happy. I’ve just booked James flights at the end of July, and left him to find accommodation. An area suggestion would be helpful as he’s never been. Hugs, sweetheart! 🙂

    • Jo, thank you so much for the lovely comment. No, flying to Porto on Wednesday. Enjoying the Swedish early summer just now. James, should look for a hotel in the Mitte, the old East Berlin near to everything that he should see as a first time visitor. A young and trendy area with loads of history. Loads bars and good restaurants. He will love Berlin.
