a crocheted web

“I consider lace to be one of the prettiest imitations
ever made of the fantasy of nature”
Coco Chanel

At Pasaż Róży off 3 Piotrkowska Street in Łódź …  we found the most beautiful piece of art that the city offers. Can’t find any information regarding it, but I think it is related to the mirror mosaic on building next to it.

Once the oldest (but no longer open) hotel in Łódź – the Polski Hotel, built in the mid-19th century. Will come back to that.

I think I can see some similarity between the crocheted doilies web and the mirror roses. In September 2017 she was a guest of the Łódź 4 Kultur Festival and created this wonderful installation.

This piece is catalogued with Urban Forms Foundation and one of their magical street art piece. The artist behind it is NaPoon, a female artist. NeSpoon has created work in Wroclaw, Auckland, Pont-l’Abbé, Berlin, Lofoten (Norway), Hong Kong, Perth, Bologna,  Warsaw and in Borås here in Sweden.

“Why lace? Because there is a hidden universal code readable all over the world. In every one can find the root of harmony, balance and natural order. Is not that all we are looking for? ”

Even one of old doors had got some “lace” or roses.
