…. wet, damp … friendly and beautiful!!!!
Maybe not at it’s most welcoming mood, but we still toke it on today and we were not alone.
After a frist evening with great atompshere with mussels, white wine and crème brûlée. And today we woke up to a very wet Bruges around 10am. Yes, just as the Royal Meteorological Institute of Belgium had promised us.
But around noon we took Bruges on, come what may … and we returned back to our apartment soaking wet about 4 hours later.
We got a good walk, we manage to enjoy Cécémel while taking shelter from the heavest rain … very yummy, a good Belgium suggesting of warm the hot chocolate made with Kwatta cocoa. Mine was topped with Amaretto.
On the way back home back to the apartment we stopped at the GODIVA shop at the Market Square (Markt) and bought a corn filled with chocolate dipped fresh strawberries to spoil our afternoon with.
It’s nice to be back in Bruges, even it’s very wet … one of my favorite places and when I lived in Dover I visit so often I got a chance. A Fairytale city where … the evenings ends very early around 10.30pm.
Maybe we haven’t been dancing in the rain today … but we have been singing.
They have promised sunshine with some a showers for tomorrow … and that we can live with too.
“Do not be angry with the rain;
it simply does not know how to fall upwards.”
