“Industrial design keeps the customer happy,
his client in the black and the designer busy.”
Raymond Loewy
The Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health (LRCBH), open for patient care in July 2009 and completed May 2010 at 888 W Bonneville Ave in Las Vegas. A bit away from the Strip out in the desert, but undoubtedly the most interesting building in the city. It has 199 windows.
The cost came to about est. $100 million – and the architect firm behind it is Gehry Partners, Los Angeles. Gehry’s best-known works include the titanium-clad Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, Spain; Walt Disney Concert Hall in downtown Los Angeles; Louis Vuitton Foundation in Paris, France.
The owner is Keep the Memory Alive Foundation.

Entirely unique and beautiful. Would love to be standing near the top floor looking out one of the windows with someone special!!
Yes, and the building is built to help … people with your health issue and so many others!!!! Designed for the mind.
I couldn’t say where the top floor are. it goes in all directions .. great view against Las Vegas and the desert I guess. *smile
Would be awesome to see
I love Gehry buildings. I wish my thinking could break away from order and straight lines!
I love Gehry buildings too … I not really a straight person … love curves. This building didn’t look ready at first .. but when I came closer I saw it was in full use. Fantastic building. I have been to the Guggenheim museum in Bilbao. The building is amazing, but that was about it. The exhibitions wasn’t that great.
Your photo of this cool building is wonderful 😀
Cee, thank you so much …!!!
Just popping in to scatter a few hugs, Vivi, and let you know I’m still around. 🙂 🙂
Thank you so much, Girlfriend … hugs I needs loads of … we have a very wet and dark Friday. So glad that you’re still around. *smile … Weekend hugs.!
I think it’s heading my way! Hang on while I grab a brolly 🙂 🙂
Hate brolly …. and I hate people that uses them too .. because they never look where they are going and the point the brolly in all dangerous ways. So leave it at home, please!!!!!
Just for you, I’m leaving the brolly at home. If I end up at my zumba class like a drowned rat you will be to blame (: (: But it’s awful windy. You might have saved me from doing a Mary Poppins 🙂 🙂
Mary Poppins!!!!! You will be perfect .. what a great idea to use an umbrella. *smile – I hope you will have a dry weekend after all. No rain so far today .. but no sun either.
