one cocktail …. and 8 images

Sony Center roof

Just returned from 5 marvelous days in Berlin.

I don’t drink a lot, but if I’m traveling I want my Mojito.

Under the magnificent roof of the Sony Center at Potsdamer Platz …. we finely manage to get our Mojito – even if it was in the middle of the day. Every restaurant we had visit hadn’t been able to provide us with one. And I can tell you it sat perfect.

We just sat there … and let the world pass as we were sipping on our Mijoto.

The one and only we had in Berlin, but we will back for a couple of more.

“Know when to give up and have a Mojito”

2 parts BACARDÍ Superior rum
4 lime wedges
12 fresh mint leaves
2 heaped tsp of caster sugar
1 part soda water/club soda
Sprig of fresh mint to garnish

Gently press together the limes & sugar. Bruise the mint leaves by clapping them between your palms, rub them on the rim of the glass and drop them in.

Next, half fill the glass with crushed ice, add the BACARDÍ Superior rum & stir. Top up with crushed ice, a splash of soda and a sprig of mint.

  1. 🙂 I’m not a Mojito drinker, but I can imagine how good it tasted and what a pleasure to enjoy it in the middle of the day, when almost everybody else has to go to work 😉
    Big hugs xo 🙂

    • NO Mojito drinker ????!!!!!.. girlfriend you don’t know what you’re missing *laughing – I’m not a fan of rum … but Mojito … bring them on.
It’s was Sunday and there was cocktails, wine and beer going on everywhere. *smile – we had a truly FAB stay in Berlin.

    • Yes, the roof is a piece of art … it holds 4 or 5 buildings together … and under it is a massive square with only restaurants and bars. Also a cinema where the have the German grand opening of the big films … red carpet.
That cinema shows the movies in the English language. The only one I think in Berlin.

    • Thank you so much … the Sony Center is one amazing building .. the roof is famous of course .. and that roof is just restaurants and bar, it’s like a square. The Mojito was sOoOOooo good.

    • Loisa, it’s a great drink .. and the restaurants we had visit didn’t have bars as such … so we were a bit desperate that we would get one in Berlin. *smile – the Sony Center is a place just sit down and relax at. Watching people place.

  2. Stunning roof and architecture. I don’t drink but that Mojito certainly looks refreshing for a warm day. I love these drink shots – so many angles, so creative. Wonderful photography as usual 🙂

    • Mabel, I’m sure that most bar has a “virgin” version of the drink …. it’s very refreshing and that’s the danger bits. You don’t taste the alcohol.
