This week I will be bold and publish two entries – I hope there is no rule against doing so.
As a sailor … lighthouses means something very special – and I’m VERY proud over the invention of automatic regulators for use in conjunction with gas accumulators for illuminating lighthouses and buoys – that was invented by a Swede, Gustaf Dalen – that lost his sight while working on his invention … so a man with a life in darkness shows the way in darkness for all ships.
This is Portpatrick’s Lighthouse in Scotland.
“Man must behave like a lighthouse;
he must shine day and night for the goodness of everyman.”
