i wish i was a duck

rain and more rain…. never been on a holiday were I had to experience to much rain as here in Japan – especially Kyoto. 2 days of sun so far here in Japan.

Yesterday we went on afternoon tour to 3 temples … and some people didn’t even leave the coach. It was like standing in a shower.

But we are doing our best to see and do so much as possible – at least the evenings are okay … last night was very pleasant.

Most cherry blossoms are now fallen – I think I capture some of this seasons last at the Kiyomizu-dera Temple yesterday.

We are truly kissing the rain ……!!!!

    • Colleen, we just had breakfast and now the sun is showing it’s face, but rain this evening again, but we are use to it now. *smile Thanks for your wishes.

    • Yes, this is one of my favorite piano piece of today – composed and played by Yiruma, a young South Korean musician. It’s so graceful and smooth.

    • Thank you, Julie …. the rain is beautiful at times … all depends on our state of mind. The Cherry blossoms on this image with the raindrops gave my wet day loads of joy and pleasure.

  1. I grew up in the hills of India.. Often, we’d live in the mist and rain for days and days.. We would see the sun after a month… It was fun, though

    • Wow, I don’t know if I would be able to live through months without the sun. *smile … It’s a bit sad that the weather isn’t on our side, when we travel so far, but the weather is what it’s. Today we have been luck, with some sunny spells – and no rain yet. Thanks for the visit.

  2. 🙂 Oh, my! So much rain! We landed in the rain. Now the sun is shining – it’s beautiful and I love it here.
I hope the rain stops and that you can enjoy some nice weather. But Oscar is well behaved – he takes excellent pictures in sun and in rain.
Many hugs from Hong Kong xoxo 🙂

    • Dia, we had some sunny spells today and but now it’s raining again. We have been out walking along Kamo River, under the cherry blossoms. And we been so lucky to capture some Geisha – they are very shy and very fast. Now the rain is back, but who cares.

    • Thank you, Sue …. yes, he is still preforming well – but he gets tired at times. Love the music too … so glad I was able to use this cloud.

      • Yesterday at one of the temples a young girl hit Oscar so he flew away … over the payment – with her umbrella, but he just carried on. My heart stopped. I click away on everything … you know me. *laughing.

  3. What a beautiful melody and the cherry blossom said it all. You really have a great eye to see the beauty despite adversity. That’s what you are!

    • Bebs, yes … it’s a truly beautiful melody and one of favorite of today’s “classical” music. “Kiss the rain” by Yiruma.
I think there is beauty in every weather … surrounding – if we look around. Thanks for your lovely comment.

    • The day when I took the images here – it wasn’t really rain – it was like a hard shower and not pleasant all – a bit cold.
Otherwise the rain was quite pleasant, even if not warm. We had 50% rain. Hiroshima gave us 4 wonderful sunny days, to make up for Tokyo and Kyoto.
