weekly photo challenge; texture

Better late than never …. just back from beautiful Vienna, that nearly killed me with it’s heatwave. *smile

So I’m a  bit late at this week, but here is my view on this week’s subject; texture.

    • Maralee, I had a fantastic time in Vienna, such a fantastic city – but the heat was really taking it out on everybody.
But I enjoyed my visit … and I got a lots of images to edit.
Thank you so much for your kind support.

  1. 🙂 Hey, you’re hardly home and back on the computer! Great!
I like your textures and the ones of food make me extremely hungry…I still have to think about the salad we had on Sunday. Yummy!!
Sleep tight and take care xo 🙂

    • Dia, thank you for a fantastic afternoon and evening – I will start editing my images tomorrow … Yes, the salad was fantastic. It was such lovely evening.
I hope that you’re okay now … from your migraine.
My knee had to carry me up the stairs here in Landskrona too .. our lift is out of order.
It’s so sore for the moment .. hopefully it will go down through some rest.

  2. Wonderful images of texture. Texture is one of the elements of art that I love to photograph. Heat wave? This is the first summer in years that we haven’t had a heat wave. Nice for sleeping but not sun bathing (not that I do that much).

    • Carol, it has been so hot over here in Sweden too … for weeks, but it has gone cooler – Wonderful pleasant just now.
The weather is all over the place all over the world – global warming, it’s all messed up.
I couldn’t live where it’s hot most of the year – I’m quite happy with a summer with +25C.
As you say it’s impossible to sleep when it’s too hot.
I like textures too and to get the most of it with help of a camera. Textures are there with us .. all the time.

  3. So glad you enjoyed your stay in Vienna in spite of the heat! Perchance what you and I call ‘hot’ differs: here it means getting well over 40 C, but . . . . 🙂 ! Those photos are so, so interesting and beautiful they will be looked at more than once – I too love the first field picture of grasses!!

    • For a person coming from Scandinavia is everything is hot over +25 hot. We are not built for heat like this summer has given us and neither are our countries or homes.
It is the humidity that makes the heat so difficult to handle.
I could never live somewhere the temperature goes that high as it does … where you’re.
Still cities and heat isn’t the greatest combination – but I did my best and I had a truly great time in Vienna, as I always have so fare. Yes, the harvest ready wheat photo came out good – took it from a moving car. Thanks you so much.

  4. Oooooh. What a lovely set of shots for this week’s challenge, Viv. Those crops sure look good, and I’m sure they taste good too. Love how you captured close up shots of the sweet treats. That sugar on the scrolls (??? or maybe donuts, churros…)…makes me want to eat dessert right now. Hope you’ve cooled down now from your trip 🙂

    • Marbel, it’s a cinnamon roll, it tasted as good as it looks. The crops image I took from a car, had the camera on sports mode and it became a great image, very pleased with it. Thank you so much for the lovely comment. Food is a great objects for close ups … just like flowers. I’m love my desserts *smile

    • Frank, thank you so much for your always faithful support.
The music I found on SoundCloud … I think you can down load this piece. No nothing about the composer or the pianist. Love piece.

    • Hi there, lovely one!
We still have the sun glued to our backs, but it’s a lot cooler; Wonderful!
I just posted my second post about Vienna by mistake – on my way to visit mum’s beautiful Simrishamn over the weekend.
