Fantastic true story A woman was flying from Seattle to San Francisco. Unexpectedly, the plane was diverted to Sacramento along the way. The flight attendant explained that there would be a delay, and if the passengers wanted to get off the aircraft the plane would re-board in 50 minutes… Everybody got off the plane except one lady who was blind…
A man had noticed her as he walked by and could tell the lady was blind because her guide dog lay quietly underneath the seats in front of her throughout the entire flight… He could also tell she had flown this very flight before because the pilot approached her, and calling her by name, said, “Kathy, we are in Sacramento for almost an hour, would you like to get off and stretch your legs?” The blind lady said, “No thanks, but maybe Buddy would like to stretch his legs.” All the people in the gate area came to a complete stand still when they looked up and saw the pilot walk off the plane with a guide dog for the blind!
Even worse, the pilot was wearing sunglasses! People scattered. They not only tried to change planes, but they were trying to change airlines! Two tips for the day… 1. Things are not always as they appear and 2. A day without laughter is a day wasted.
“A male pilot is a confused soul who talks about women when he’s flying,
and about flying when he’s with a woman.”

Thank you very much .. for stopping by and for commenting. Welcome back.
Great story! Why would people panic and not just ask? I wouldn’t even think twice about it because obviously pilots cannot be blind. : )
Here is a similar story someone told me.
A man and two small children were riding on the subway. The children were unruly , wild and loudly running all over the train car and offending people. The father sat staring out the window as if in another world and seemed unconscious of his children and their behavior. It was a long ride and at one stop a woman hissed in his ear as she got off. “You should learn to make your children behave”. He slowly turned to look at her as if coming out of a trance and replied “I am so sorry, we are on our way home from the hospital and their mother just died. I do not know how to tell them” This story was evidentially repeated by another passenger.
This story has stuck with me for many years as frequently times things are not as they seem.
Thanks for your story – I think most for the things are not the way they seem. What a sad story … yes, how do you tell your kids that their mum will be there for them anymore. A very strong story.
HA! A very good laugh for the day. And a good lesson. 😉
Yes, there is always 3 sides of a story – yours. mine and the truth. *smile – I just had to post it ….
Ha! I like the 3 sides!!!
so do I !!!!
What a lovely story.
Yes, it really is … a feel good story. True or not.
Your words and story make me glad to be alive !! And am getting up in my library to ‘have a break’ to dance to the music, a huge grin on my face!!!
Have just gone back to YouTube!! You are playing Frank Sinatra – are you not!! ‘Cause it sounds different, but surely NOT!!! Anyways, ‘let’s fly’!!!!
Yes, it’s Frankie …. a live preformance. Massive fan of Frank Sinatra.
Thank you so much for you sweet comment …. you’re my kind – dancing alone to a great tune – I do it often and it really good for the mental status. *smile
