In a couple of weeks time will I be flying up to Stockholm to visit one of my best friends and enjoy Cirque du Soleil’s production in tribune to Michael Jackson – the Immortal World Tour, the first days in November.
Back from Stockholm will I only have about 18 days and then it’s time for my annual 12 days trip to Belfast, Scotland and Dublin – in the end of November. So I needed to take “time out” to fix what I had promised.
Great to be back. It really is. Hope I have been missed a little bit *smile …. Notice that I’m fishing now !!!!!
Haven’t been back to my mum until now – and this post is based on the photos I caught when go budget shopping during my last visit. It was Saturday and the rain was heaving down – but after lunch it stopped and off I went. Took the road across the railway – and I saw this a reflection of the railway crossing in the rain puddle – stood there playing around for a while – suddenly the alarm bells went off … nearly died, must have jumped half a meter in the air, a Pågatåg was coming – so the long leg first of the tracks.
Not much more happen during my shopping trip – the streets where nearly empty – only a couple of weeks ago they would be bursting with tourists. The town was abandoned – met only a few cars and few pedestrians. The hotels that were full booked now have signs up saying they have free rooms. One of the Swedish high street fashion shops, LINDEX (english) , has teamed up with the Italian Fashion House “Missoni” - fashion for all ages, kids and accessories – there shop windows are full of their stuff – so I had to take a photo of one of the bags. Wonderful stuff.
The summer is over and the autumn is definitely here.
NETTO reminded everybody that it’s time to plant our spring bulbs now – tulips, crocus and daffodils. Shelve after shelve with bags.
It was an extremely windy day, but on the other hand – it’s always windy in Simrishamn… but I manage to make it back home to mum’s before the rain came back. It was a very pleasant walk – but I found a little casualty on the way home, a little bird on the pavement under a window. I guess that the little thing has flown into the window and broken his neck. It really hurted to see the little bird.
So sad – sure that somebody was waiting for him/her .. somewhere.

has never danced in the rain”

I loved this bike
Thanks and Love, nia
It’s really good to have you back!
I would love to go to Stockholm to see the show. Do you know if it’s sold out? My husband has seen Cirque de Soleil and one of their shows in Las Vegas. He went there with his job. He said it was GREAT!
I bought my tickets ages ago – I’m a member of their club – seen 12 shows so far, so I always get a offer of pre-sale. Check online. It could be I have my second ticket leftover, because my friend has lost most of her sight since I bought the tickets and she don’t really want to go. If you would be interested ???? if the ticket is leftover.
I found tickets online. I would really like to go to the show. Too bad I didn’t know you a few months back, then I could have the tickets on my wishlist for my birthday. We’ll see if we can afford the tickets now…I don’t know….:-(
I hope you will make it – because it’s only one off show – this one. Normally they come to Stockholm in the autumn every year with one of their shows. 2 off the 12 I seen I seen at Globen. I will let you know when next show comes .. so soon they have told me.
They don’t come cheap.
Of course you were missed!
I enjoy the pictures of your walks and train rides. You make me want to be much more aware, where ever I go.
I too loved the bike!
I have a bike too – but difficult to take photos – and I love walking. With a camera in my hand I see a total different world. Thanks for your kind words. Time for Zumba now!
Oh my you are fun! Have fun at Zumba. I just finished my bike ride for the day. Very happy with it.
Just reading you lovely post … with all the nice photos – you made a good day out of your day.
I did, and thank you for always reading and commenting. It makes me feel good. I hope Zumba was good?
The Zumba is a nightmare – with my bladder problems and my numb feet – but I do it anyhow – hate gyms .. and I need to get the old body a good shake once a week.
A good shake? Well, from what I’ve seen Zumba will do that! I can imagine bladder problems would be problematic for Zumba. You are an inspiration. Because you go anyway.
It’s the jumping that cause most problems – but the instructor knows and I do what I can .. don’t really about the rest.
How much fun it will be for you to see the Cirque de Soleil show. I’ve never been but my sister goes every time there’s a show around where she lives. Fall has arrived here too. We had frost on the ground this morning and the mountains have a dusting of snow on them. More snow is forecast for this weekend. Sounds like you’re going to be a busy girl for the next couple of months. Have fun.
Snow … please, not yet … have seen 12 shows of the Cir – I love them .. the best show on earth. Went to a customer service seminar – that one the heavy gurus from US were speaking and he said that there is only one product so fare that gives 100% customers satisfaction and that is “the Cir” – and I agree with me. There is shows that has been better than others, but I have never felt that I didn’t get great experience. You should see them – next time in Las Vegas – they have 7 shows there.
Poor birdie. I love that quote at the end. I live in the sunshine state, and I miss the rain. Nobody understands when I say I’m tired of the sunshine. Too much of something isn’t always good. And yes, my friend, you were missed.
I would struggle to live where it’s hot and more hot – rain is a relief for the nature – everything smells so much better after a rain. Yes, poor birdie .. and poor its family.
Nice to have you here! The reflected train sign is such a pretty photo.. and I love any and all cirque shows!
Yes, I really like that photo too – nearly cost me my life *smile – yes, “The Cir” is something very special. Can’t wait to see this show, because I love Michael’s music.
you know that i miss you any day that you are not on here. it sounds like you have some great times coming ahead. enjoy yourself!!!!!!! i love that house with all the red growing up it!!! enjoy the Michael Jackson show!!!
Oh…have fun at the show. Too bad about your friend’s eyesight…and that poor little bird.
Must have missed your replay here … yes, my friends situation isn’t the best – but I hope it will be stabil now and not increase, because I want her with my to NYC next week. Yes, I feel sorry for the little bird still .. when I look at my photo. Happen so often that they fly into windows.
Looks like an interesting show … plus I imagine you’ll blog about it.
Seems you also have some interesting travel in the next 6 weeks. Awesome … and enjoy!
Frank, of course I will blog about it – really looking forward to this show, but I love everything “The Cir” show off.
Your fishing line will be very short as it won’t take much for us all to say …wahoo vivekas back!
You certainly don’t let your body hold you back. You are a busy traveler this year.
I’m also a big cirque de soleil fan… Have fun there
Thanks for your kind words, have missed you too.
I have to do what I want to do – otherwise the problems wins .. and that can only happen once in a while. Wendy, thanks for your kind words – have missed you too. I have to do what I like too – otherwise my problems wins over me and that can only happens once in a while.
I think if you seen “the Cirq” once so are you hocked.
I can never watch CdS, they give me the creeps.
You are so funny …. *smile
Never heard that about “the cirq” before … thanks for the big smile.
