The department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Skane University Hospital in Lund is a tertiary referral centre for advanced gyne-oncological and benign gynaecological procedures covering the 1.7 million population of southern Sweden.
Robotic surgery was introduced for gynecological oncology in 2005 as one of the first centers in Europe.
Because it's Breast Cancer Awareness this month - and I wish the Awareness was for all cancers - every 10 min in Sweden somebody is told that they have cancer.
So let us all help to fight this ...

Cancer is my biggest worry, for myself, my family and loved ones. In my mind it’s the number one disease to beat! We need a cure soon!!
Barbara, the thing is that they cure for one and two other kinds of cancer pops up. Cancer is only something that happens to others until it hits your world. 3 of 10 will get cancer, so it’s a big risk that we all will be affected somehow. Terrible, but more people survive – that is the only comfort in all this. As my doctors said it’s the fairest disease there is – because it hit all sexes, all ages and all social statuses, we can all get it. It have no mercy in that respect. That’s why it upset me that only breast cancer gets such big attention all – and all the cancers lives in the shadow of it.
You’ve got a point.. we need to get all cancer, not just breast or prostate!
