Wednesday morning my alarm went off 05.45am – had an appointment at the hospital – and I wouldn’t make if I took the Hospital bus – so train .. was my option.
Was a bit early – so I went to the cafeteria for a simple sandwich and a cup of coffee before. Toke some photos, until I was told off very nicely that – no photos inside the hospital anywhere. Fair enough. They will be published in a later post.
9am was my appointment – but when I came for sign in – they all looked like question marks ?????? I wasn’t suppose to be there until 12th of October and they hadn’t even called me.
and I was suppose to be here ….
maybe I should go here ….. (our mental hospital; Sankt Lars)
with this problem …..
I should had stayed on the train for an other 20 min … and I had been okay.
Anyhow .. a little early day trip to Lund - I visit my top girls at oncology clinic – that has looked after me through the journey of treatment and check ups. Always nice to chat with them and they are always happy to see me. Was back home just after 10am.
In the afternoon I went to the post office and came home with this and 1300SEK/$170.00/€145.00/£115.00 lighter, talk about being lost again. Maybe I should go to Sankt Lars Hospital after all.

My excuse is that this – is a the MUST for this season … recording to all fashion blogs and glossy magazines, made by “Ecco” - the model is Sculptured 65 Lace – Danish design and so comfortable, don’t even notice I walk on heels .. so sturdy. Have massive problems with boots, because my cuneiform bones are so high, so I will not get boots over them .. need lace up and they are always so ugly and looks like barn doors on my big feet. Here I got something feminine and elegant and that my sore foot pads can handle. Do you think this will hold up in court ?????!!!
For dinner I decided to try Libby’s “Smashed Potatoes” - had some marinade lamb ribs in the freezer, red potatoes in the veg.draw and a tub of tzatziki in the fridge. And that recipe – short and easy – nothing taken away .. nothing added and it’s a really good potato dish to serve instead of fries. My head wasn’t really screwed on then neither.
My red potatoes was far too big – they fell apart when I turned them over in the frying pan. Something I definitely will do again with much smaller potatoes, but even if they fell apart I like the flavor and the texture of them.

Thanks, Nia … have to do it all again next months – I think I’m fine, only the head that needs a check up too. *smile
You are welcome beautiful lady, angels, muses and the sun be with you always. Love, nia
Thanks a million, Nia !!!
Viveka – you are so amazingly funny and lovely!
Thank you, Julie … and stupid too. *smile
You make me laugh, AND you make me hungry. I hope you are feeling okay and get everything taken care of.
Thank you so much … have to go back to where I was on the 9th instead … and where I should been I was for a new appointment. Couldn’t believe that I messed it up that much. Two different hospitals.
We’ve all done that. Messed up appointments, gone to the wrong place. Meanwhile I hope everything is okay since you have to wait again.
Colleen, I’m sure I’m okay – my bladder problems I have to live with – it damage from the radio therapy – the fluid in my right leg too – that is from they messed about with my lymph’s – the cancer had spread – have to live that that too, but I get a fantastic support and they keep an eye on my progress with my side effects and help me to “suffer” less.
Oh my, what a day…. and it became a lovely post!

Love the shoes, btw, I was never in love with the ecco- ook (I know, I know….those are super comfy….) but that pair up there on that pic is really läcker!
Have a cozy evening!
Thank you so much … yes, it turned out pretty good in the end and the post .. became a bit funny after all.
I never like Ecco shoes neither, but the last 2 years they have really got their act together – become contemporary – they where very boring before, but comfortable. This is my first pair of Ecco ever. This model is in all magazines just now in US, Germany, UK and of course Sweden, they made an impact with this. Ja, dom är super läckra, finns i vanligt svart läder också.
I guess I’m going to keep on saying this… I’m happy to have found your fun blog! Gloria
Glad you found a pair of cute boots to make your day better. And those potatoes…they do look tasty!
Yes, they were very tasty … but far to big – will do them soon again with much smaller potatoes. Great recipe .. thanks a million for it.
Whew … this was quite the trip. Being new here, I didn’t realize the purpose of your hospital trip — but this post helped me appreciate your sense of humor and view of life!
Thank you, Frank … very kind of you. You know going through a cancer treatment is rough and tough – and if you don’t have humor and take it with humor, it will be like a desert walk.
Well said … and continued strength to you!
You crack me up. Love the boots! And yes, it will hold up in court.
Do you know the diagnosis for the leg problem? Just curious.
I love the boots too … Thanks a million.
My swollen leg and foot – come from that they have removed lymph’s and the fluid has lost it’s way – something that happens far too often – that is why when that had breast cancer end up with swollen arm. I have support tights for that .. made a post about it – http://wp.me/p293Pw-Tx – made post about all my problems … you find them under cat. “my demons” – they have made tailor made tights for me – everything free.
You had quite the day. Good humor about it too. That’s good. Have a wonderful weekend.
Yes, I’m always mixing date, appointments and places up .. always done, because I don’t take enough notice.
Same to you.
they should have worked u in at the doctors, you were already there! i like the song that is playing on here, have always imagined me walking like that making a statement!!! your foods looked so yummy!!!!
They offered – but their schedule was tight – my fault and I was okay with it. Thank you so much your support. It is years since I heard it .. but when I found it and it’s suitable for my post.
I really like that you’re sharing your personal thoughts and experiences. It gets so much more fun and enjoyable to read,
Hjärte tack, for you kind words – it’s pleasure to visit you too. Welcome back. My world here is a bit of everything – all in one mixing bowl. Just like me .. all over the place.
